Welcome to South East London Slingers. Our sling library was set up in September 2017 because we are really needed in this area to help families carry their children safely.
We are the two Sarahs and Tia- between us we have over fifteen years of experience of carrying our own children using a wide range of different carriers. Sarah K Smith is a baby wearing consultant, trained by Slingababy, Sarah Lawson is a baby wearing consultant, trained by School of Babywearing and Tia is trained peer supporter and main admin.
We are continuing to access online courses to improve our knowledge to help you better.
Living in a city can be tough. Transport, though frequent, can be packed to the rafters leaving little room for buggies and prams. Families might not live close and although you need a spare pair of hands, your child still wants to be carried. A sling can be a practical solution to these problems. There are many other great reasons to carry your child such as to promote bonding and exercise- all of which you can explore by coming to try out our great range of slings!
We'd also like to thank these utterly brilliant and wonderful people who have supported our project with love, effort and warmth.
Maggie Hicks, the owner of Greenwich and Blackheath Sling Library.
Holly Estrada, for her website brilliance and patience with our novice level of understanding of the internet.
Lauren Vasil, for her graphic design brilliance.

Rosie Knowles, at Sheffield Sling Library for her extremely useful website and video channel.
